The Paysatan Wilderness lies between the Canadian and US borders outside of the Methow Valley. In the Horseshoe Basin, paintbrush (Castilleja species) produce abundant blooms in the subalpine meadows. Backpacking there is one of the most magical experiences of my life and I hope to bring this joy through the print.
